The Library

You walk into a small cedar paneled room. The scent of the room gives you a at home feeling as you peer at the large French paneled window directly across from the doorway. There are two large book cases lining the remaining walls. On the floor is a bean bag, several pillows and a couple of chenille blankets to wrap up in.

"This is the library, the shelves are full of interesting things to read. Feel free to poke your nose into anything your heart desires. If you will excuse me for a moment, I will fetch us some tea to drink. " The beautiful Leopard lady smiles departing the room.

As your eyes survey the room, you notice a small table beside one of the bean bag chairs. Upon the table you notice, there is a letter. She seemed to have been writing to someone, but who? Something inside you draws you near to it, as if it were perhaps meant for you to read.

Dearest Love,

I know you are out there somewhere. Though I don't know your name, or your face, but I feel compelled to send this out using the tide as my carrier. The day is so warm and inviting that I thought of spending it frolicking by the sea. Imagine waves playing at my feet as I dance around looking for shells, watching the surfers fly on waves as they play with the otters that swim nearby. It is amazing how the ocean always gives and takes from the shore. I wish it could take my life, if it meant that it would give me to you, if only for a brief moment. Lost in the deepest dream, I thought of your essence as I stand with my head hung low looking for any aspect of your soul reflected in the fine pieces of stone into which I settle. I thought that perhaps you exist in the sea and that you would wash ashore. I would find you laying there in the sand, waiting to take your hand and breath in mine.

I feel you in my heart when I fall asleep at night; I wish you were there beside me, your warm body curled around mine, comforting me so. Waiting, I leave the window and the door ajar. In the quiet hours of darkness, you would return from a long day's work and rest in sweet merriment by the one that loves you so. I turn off the lights each night, but light a single candle , hoping to see your shadow watching over me. I dreamt you gave me your protection and worry no more about the lonely ache that haunts this solitary creature.

I know you're out there searching for me as I you. I know, although we cannot touch each other now, our hearts intertwine in all passions -- tenderness and serenity so tight that no other can ever take its place. Wherever you are, in whatever you do... please know, dearest love, that I think of you... and I am out there still.

~ Always
Yours
